Man arrested for allegedly assaulting, stabbing staff at Sydney hospital

A man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting and stabbing staff at a Western Sydney hospital.
Police were called to Westmead Hospital at around 11.30pm yesterday where four members of staff are believed to have been assaulted by a man.
Two security guards, aged 24 and 25, were allegedly stabbed in an attempt to calm him down and suffered cuts to their bodies.
The couple is in stable condition.
A third security guard dislocated his shoulder and a nurse suffered minor injuries.
The man was arrested and remains under police guard at the hospital.
He is believed to have been a patient of the hospital.
