Man charged after alcohol allegedly found in his system following fatal boat crash

A man has been charged after a woman died in a boating accident in north-west Sydney in February.
The 38-year-old man who was driving the boat is said to have had alcohol in his system after it crashed into a riverbank on the Hawkesbury River near Wilberforce.
After the crash, he was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory tests.
A 32-year-old woman who was a passenger in a boat died at the scene despite the work of paramedics.
After several months of investigation, the man was arrested at around 9am yesterday and taken to Windsor Police Station.
He was charged with dangerous driving causing death and released on bail.
The man will appear at Windsor Local Court next month.
The man’s boating license has also been suspended.
